Bare aluminum conductor AAC Orchid 636MCM(37/3.33mm) for overhead line use general description
AAC are made from round aluminum 1350-H19 (extra hard) wires. They can maximize the current carrying capacity for transmission and distribution projects that do not require the strength of ACSR type conductors. AAC conductors are also a good choice for coastal areas, where the environmental conditions are corrosive to ACSR conductors.

AAC are a refined Aluminium stranded conductor with a minimum metal purity of 99.7%. It is principally used in urban areas where spacing is short and the supports are close. It can be used in coastal regions owing to its high degree of corrosion resistance and is also used extensively within the Railway and Metro industries.
