ACSR Drake Bare Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced
Bare aluminum conductor steel reinforced ACSR Drake ASTM B232/232M for overhead line (OHL) conductor are concentric conductors composed of aluminum wires 1350-H19, helically applied over galvanized steel core. The favorable strength/weight ratio, achieved by the lightweight, strong conductivity of aluminum coupled with the high tensile strength of steel, makes ACSR conductors a preferred choice for overhead power transmission and distribution projects. Additionally, it is widely used as carrier neutral cables for aerial distribution type multiplex.
