Product Advantages
Stainless Steel Pipe threaded pipe fittings are environmentally friendly products that replace traditional carbon steel, aluminum and copper products. The product has a long service life, beautiful appearance, acid and alkali resistance, and corrosion resistance. It is the ideal choice for high-grade communities, hotels and equipment manufacturers.
Stainless steel pipe threaded fittings are used to connect stainless steel pipes, with connection mainly relying on the pipe fittings and pipe threads to achieve the fit.
Types of Fittings
- Elbow: One of the most common threaded fittings, used to change the direction of the stainless steel pipe, usually available in 45° and 90° bending angles. Through threaded connection, it can conveniently connect two different directions of pipeline, enabling fluid in the piping system to achieve steering.
- Tee: Can divide fluid in one pipe into two flow directions, or bring fluid from two pipes into one pipe. It has three interfaces and is widely used in water supply and drainage systems, chemical piping systems and other applications. Its threaded connection facilitates branch connection in existing piping systems.
- Four-way: Can realize pipeline connection in four directions, allowing fluids to be distributed or pooled among four different paths. In complex piping layouts, such as building HVAC systems or complex process piping systems in industrial plants, four-way threaded fittings play an important role.
- Pipe Hoop (Direct Head): Mainly used to connect two stainless steel pipes of the same pipe diameter, to extend the length of the pipe or to replace connection when the pipe is broken. The threads on both ends match with the threads of the pipe and can be firmly connected after tightening.
- Reducing Pipe Threaded Fittings (Size Head): Used to connect stainless steel pipes with different pipe diameters, achieving pipe diameter transition. Available in concentric and eccentric types - concentric reducer has its center line in a straight line, while eccentric reducer has its center line not in the same straight line, used according to different pipeline layout requirements.
Thread Standards
- Cylindrical Pipe Threads (e.g. G series): Have a 55° tooth angle and are characterized by poor sealing, usually requiring addition of sealing materials (e.g. sisal wire, biotape, etc.) to ensure sealing of the connection. Used in low pressure, non-critical piping systems, such as indoor water supply and drainage piping systems in homes for small diameter pipe connections.
- Conical Pipe Threads (e.g. R series, NPT series): Available in 55° (R series, British tapered pipe threads) and 60° (NPT series, American tapered pipe threads). Tapered pipe threads have a certain degree of sealing, and during tightening process, the taper of the threads makes the fit between threads become tighter, achieving better sealing effect. Commonly used in piping systems with high sealing requirements, such as petroleum, chemical and other industries, though high-pressure or special corrosive media piping connections may require auxiliary sealing measures.
