15KW~75KW 3 Pole AC Motor Starter Cabinet On Line Soft Starting IP30 IP40 Protection
Product Overview
The Online Motor Soft Starter Cabinet is a high-performance control solution designed to bridge the gap between simple across-the-line starters and complex Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). Engineered for three-phase asynchronous motors ranging from 15kW to 75kW, this starter reduces the voltage during the initial startup phase, allowing the motor to accelerate smoothly to full speed.
Unlike traditional Star-Delta starters, the Online Soft Starter provides a stepless ramp-up, which eliminates the damaging "torque spikes" and "current surges" that cause mechanical wear on belts, gears, and pump impellers. Equipped with an integrated bypass contactor, the system automatically switches to a direct connection once the motor reaches full speed, maximizing efficiency and minimizing heat dissipation within the cabinet.
Key Technical Advantages
-
Voltage Ramp & Current Limit Starting: Offers multiple starting modes, including voltage ramp and constant current limiting, allowing you to tailor the start-up profile to specific loads like high-inertia fans or heavy-duty crushers.
-
Built-in Bypass Contactor: Features an internal bypass that engages after the start-up cycle is complete. This reduces the thermal load on the thyristors (SCRs), significantly extending the service life of the electronics.
-
Advanced Motor Protection Suite: Integrated protection against overcurrent, phase loss, phase imbalance, overheating, and underload (dry-run protection). No external thermal relays are required.
-
Reduced Mechanical Maintenance: By providing a linear torque curve during startup, the soft starter prevents "water hammer" in plumbing systems and reduces belt slippage in conveyor systems.
-
User-Friendly Digital Interface: Equipped with a backlit LCD or LED display for real-time monitoring of starting current, operating voltage, and fault codes.

Primary Application Scenarios
-
Water Pumps & Irrigation: Eliminates water hammer in long pipelines and reduces pressure surges during pump activation.
-
HVAC & Large Fans: Smoothly starts high-inertia centrifugal fans, preventing belt snap and reducing the impact on the building's electrical grid.
-
Conveyor Systems: Provides a jerk-free start for loaded conveyor belts, preventing material spillage and mechanical stress on the drive chain.
-
Air Compressors: Reduces the peak current demand during the start-up cycle of screw or piston compressors.
Why Source Our Soft Starter Cabinets?
-
Turnkey Factory Assembly: Every cabinet is pre-wired, tested, and commissioned at our Yueqing facility. You only need to connect the power supply and motor leads.
-
Precision Thyristor Selection: We use high-grade SCR modules with superior peak-voltage resistance to ensure reliability even in areas with unstable power quality.
-
Space-Saving Vertical Design: Our cabinets feature a compact footprint with high-quality cold-rolled steel, finished with industrial-grade powder coating (RAL 7035).
-
Easy Parameter Setup: The control logic is designed for "out-of-the-box" operation. Most applications only require adjusting the Start Time and Initial Torque dials.
FAQ
Q: Does this cabinet require an external contactor?
A: No. This is an Online model with an Internal Bypass. Once the motor reaches full speed, the internal bypass contactor takes over, saving you money on external components and cooling fans.
Q: Can this be used to control the motor's speed during operation?
A: No. A soft starter is only for starting and stopping. If you need to vary the motor speed during the work cycle, you will require a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD).
Q: What is the maximum number of starts per hour?
A: Depending on the load, we recommend no more than 10–12 starts per hour to allow for proper cooling of the SCR modules.
