The Cage-Free-X system is designed to increase animal welfare while guaranteeing excellent performance in terms of egg production and management costs. The system is built on two or three tiers, with a structure that facilitates inspections and stimulates hens to jump from tier to tier.

- Multi-Layer Design: Allows hens to move up, down, and sideways, effectively preventing crowding and hotspots, leading to better ventilation and climate control.
- Multiple Perches: Hens enjoy walking on perches at different heights during the day and sleeping at higher elevations, which helps reduce stress and promotes better sleep.
- Reduced Aggressive Behavior: Cage-free chickens tend to exhibit less aggressive behaviors such as pecking, chasing, fighting, bullying, feeding, or guarding water.
- Open Design: Open aviaries allow laying hens to freely walk, run, and fly not only on perches but also scratch on the litter floor.
- Automatic Egg Collection: After laying, eggs are automatically transported by a conveyor belt and collected by an automatic egg collector.
- Inclined Mesh Panels: The inclined design on each layer facilitates the collection of lost eggs, which can roll down to the egg collection area.
