Q: Is the hose drinking water safe?
A: Our standard PVC hose is not rated for potable water. For drinking water applications, we offer a separate hose made with FDA-approved materials and a different compound that doesn't impart taste or odor.
Q: What is the temperature range?
A: This PVC hose is designed for water temperatures between 0°C (32°F) and 60°C (140°F). It can become stiff in very cold weather and soften in high heat.
Q: Can it handle mild chemicals?
A: It has fair resistance to mild acids and alkalis but is not recommended for strong solvents, oils, or fuels, which will degrade the PVC material.
