Heavy Duty Customized Natural Rubber EP Nylon Fabric Conveyor Belt For Mining Cement And Coal Industries
The belt's core strength layer is woven from Polyester (PET) fibers in the longitudinal (warp) direction and Nylon (Polyamide) fibers in the transverse (weft) direction. This hybrid structure is bonded together with high-adhesion rubber skim coats.
The carcass is protected by top and bottom rubber covers. These covers can be formulated for specific conditions:
- General Wear Resistance (for mining, aggregates)
- Heat Resistance (up to 120°C)
- Oil Resistance
- Flame Retardant
- Cold Resistance (down to -40°C)
Typically manufactured with 2 to 6 plies of EP fabric, depending on the required tensile strength.
- High Tensile Strength & Low Elongation: Offers excellent longitudinal strength with minimal stretch (lower than full Nylon belts), reducing the need for frequent tension adjustments.
- Superior Impact & Tear Resistance: The Nylon weft provides exceptional flexibility, toughness, and resistance to punctures and tears from sharp or heavy materials.
- Excellent Troughability: Highly flexible, forming ideal troughs on conveyor idlers for better load containment, even around smaller pulleys.
- Dimensional Stability: Maintains its shape and size under heavy loads and high temperatures.
- Moisture & Mildew Resistance: Impervious to water, rot, and mildew, ensuring stable performance in wet environments.
- High Inter-Ply Adhesion: Strong bonding between layers prevents delamination, ensuring a long service life.
- Fatigue Resistance: Performs reliably under continuous, high-speed, and long-distance operations.
The EP designation is followed by a number indicating the Tensile Strength per ply (N/mm).
- Fabric Grades: EP100, EP125, EP150, EP200, EP250, EP300, EP400, EP500
- Belt Widths: Typically ranges from 400 mm to 2,500 mm
- Cover Thickness: Top cover (1.5-15 mm), Bottom cover (1.5-10 mm)

EP belts are the industry standard for demanding environments requiring a balance of strength and flexibility. Primary industries include:
- Mining & Quarrying: Coal, ore, gravel, and stone
- Ports & Terminals: Bulk handling of grains, fertilizers, and ores
- Power Plants: Coal and ash handling
- Cement & Construction: Cement, clinker, sand, and limestone
- Metallurgy & Steel: Handling raw materials and slag
- General Manufacturing: Medium-to-heavy duty assembly lines
