Wire Wrapped Screen,also called Johnson screen,wedge wire screen,Johnson, wound screen, slotted screen.
Wire Wrapped Screens are made of triangle or wedge wire surface profiles with continuous slots which supply large open area for filtration.
Wire wrapped screen is a filtering device that serves as the intake portion of wells constructed in unconsolidated or semi-consolidated aquifers. The screen permits water to enter the well from the saturated aquifer, prevents sediment from entering the well, and serves structurally to support the aquifer material.
Selection of Slot Size, The screens purpose is to:
1. Prevent sediment from entering the well.
2. Support unconsolidated formations or gravel pack.
3. Allow formation development
4. Minimize clogging.
Selected slot size must give optimum open area: Too small could easily block, too large would allow particles through.
Wire Wrapped Screen Sizes:
- Material: stainless steel wire or galvanized wire.
- Surface profile: triangle wire.
- Support profile: triangle wire, round bar and wedge wire.
- Slot size: 0.05 mm - 35 mm.Normal slot : 0.5mm, 0.63mm, 0.75mm, 1.0mm, 1.5mm, 2.0mm
- Cylinder diameter: 10 mm - 1200 mm. Normal Diameter:2", 3", 4", 6", 8", 10", 12", 14"
- Length: up to 6 m. Normal length:2.9m and 5.8m to fit container.
- Maximum collapse strength: 150 bar.
- Maximum tensile strength:40 tons.
- Connection type: Bevel welded rings; male/female threaded coupling.
- Wire Size: 2.2*3.5mm, 3*4.6mm, 3*5mm, 3*6mm, 4*7mm etc. Also can make other sizes as your request.
- Support rods size: ø3.8mm,ø4.0mm, ø4.2mm, ø4.5mm, ø4.8mm,ø5.0mm, ø6.0mm or others.
