China to Netherlands train service

The China–Netherlands rail freight service, a key part of the China Railway Express (CRE) network, delivers a seamless, time-efficient overland shipping solution between China and the Netherlands. Launched in 2016 with the Chengdu–Tilburg route and expanded by the 2024 Harbin–Tilburg line, it has become a vital link for Eurasian trade, balancing speed, cost, and reliability for businesses of all sizes.

• Chengdu–Tilburg (Flagship Route): The first direct China–Netherlands rail link, running 3 times weekly (round-trip).
• Harbin–Tilburg (New Route, March 2024): Connects Northeast China to the Netherlands, spanning 10,257 km via the Manzhouli border crossing
• Other Hubs: Departures also available from Xi’an, Zhengzhou, and Yiwu, connecting to Dutch terminals in Tilburg (RailPort Brabant) and Rotterdam.

• Transit Time: 15–17 days (vs. 45–60 days by sea), cutting delivery time by two-thirds.
• Distance: ~10,000–11,000 km, crossing China → Russia → Kazakhstan → Poland → Germany → Netherlands.
• Capacity: Up to 84 TEUs per train, with a maximum container weight of 23.5 tons.

The service accommodates general cargo, electronics, machinery, textiles, food,  with full container load (FCL) and less than container load (LCL) options available. All cargo is handled per international standards, with secure customs clearance at border crossings and Dutch terminals (Tilburg/Rotterdam).
