Product Overview

Funoer adsorption dryers (hereinafter referred to as adsorption dryers) are advanced dehumidification systems designed for demanding applications. Utilizing pressure swing adsorption (PSA) or heatless regeneration principles with adsorbents such as activated alumina and molecular sieves, they deeply adsorb moisture from compressed air. This achieves pressure dew points as low as -20°C to -70°C, meeting the stringent requirements of industries with high dryness demands, such as precision electronics, food and pharmaceutical manufacturing, and instrument calibration.

Funoer adsorption dryers are divided into two main series: heatless regeneration (FN-AT) and micro-heat regeneration (FN-MT). They cover a processing flow range of 1 to 200 m³/min and feature a dual-tower alternating operation mode, ensuring a continuous and uninterrupted air supply. The adsorbent regeneration energy consumption is significantly lower than the industry average, making them the optimal choice for applications requiring extremely low dew points.

Working Principle

Funoer adsorption dryers operate on a dual-tower switching mode, with one tower in adsorption and the other in regeneration, cycling alternately:

  • Adsorption Phase: Moisture-laden compressed air enters the adsorption tower, where water vapor is adsorbed by the microporous surfaces of the adsorbent (activated alumina/molecular sieves). Dry air exits from the top of the tower, achieving a pressure dew point of -20°C to -70°C.

  • Regeneration Phase: Once the adsorbent in a tower reaches saturation, the tower switches to regeneration mode. Moisture is desorbed through one of the following methods:

    • Heatless Regeneration: Uses a portion of the dry compressed air (approximately 10–15%) depressurized to atmospheric pressure to purge the tower in reverse flow, removing moisture and completing regeneration.

    • Micro-heat Regeneration: Uses a small amount of dry air (approximately 2–5%) heated to 180–200°C by an electric heater to purge the tower, desorbing moisture with lower energy consumption.

  • Cooling Phase (for micro-heat regeneration): After regeneration, ambient-temperature dry air is introduced to cool the adsorption tower, restoring its adsorption capacity for the next cycle.

  • Dual-Tower Alternation: Pneumatic valve sets automatically switch the adsorption/regeneration status of the two towers, with a typical switching cycle of 5–10 minutes, ensuring a continuous and stable air supply.
