Before germination, disinfect the seeds in hot water at 60–65°C for 30–35 seconds, stirring continuously by hand. Then remove them and soak at room temperature for 7–9 hours.

During soaking, rinse the seeds 2–3 times with water at about 25°C to remove surface dirt or mucus. After soaking, place the seeds in breathable, moist gauze and keep them in a greenhouse or incubator at 25–30°C to promote germination.

During this period, spray water and turn the seeds regularly to prevent dehydration or mold. Monitor the embryos closely, and stop when the radicle protrudes no more than 0.2–0.3 cm.
