The Perkins 20R-1318 is an original remanufactured common rail fuel injector engineered for the Perkins C9.3 diesel engine, a 9.3L class inline 6-cylinder power unit used in Perkins 336E, 336E L, and 336E LN excavator series. Built around Perkins OE specifications, this reman injector delivers precision fuel metering, fine spray atomization, and stable injection timing to support efficient combustion, strong torque output, reliable cold starting, improved fuel economy, and controlled emissions across demanding construction, mining, quarrying, and earthmoving applications.
Designed as a direct replacement for the original equipment injector, the 20R-1318 is fully compatible with the high-pressure common rail fuel system and electronically controlled high-pressure injection architecture of the C9.3 engine. Each unit is remanufactured, bench-tested, and subjected to spray pattern and flow testing to ensure same-as-new performance and reliability at a lower cost while reducing environmental impact. The injector is available for the reman and rebuild market and is globally searchable for fleet maintenance operations across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, South America, and Australia.
Proper maintenance is critical to long injector service life. Operators should always use clean diesel fuel, replace fuel filters on schedule, drain the water separator regularly, inspect for external injector leakage, and monitor engine oil for signs of fuel dilution. Periodic ECM scanning, fuel pressure testing, return flow testing, cylinder balance testing, and oil analysis help detect early symptoms such as hard starting, rough idle, low power, black or white smoke, misfire, excessive fuel consumption, fuel knock, poor atomization, or cylinder imbalance. Damaged seals and contaminated fuel lines should be replaced promptly, and injectors should be stored in clean sealed packaging to preserve remanufactured quality.
