1. Turntable Main Machine Structure
- Driven by a horizontal precision cam indexer, the turntable features four evenly distributed stations. It operates smoothly without jamming, meeting the requirements for high-speed intermittent positioning.
- Dedicated fixture positioning seats are installed on the turntable surface, allowing for quick tooling changes to accommodate workpieces of various specifications.
- The main frame is constructed from welded steel plates with precision machining, ensuring high rigidity and long-term dimensional stability without deformation.
2. Four-Station Functional Layout
- Station 1: Loading. Equipped with a pneumatic manipulator or conveyor belt for automatic loading (e.g., the green belt conveyor structure shown in the video). It supports manual material feeding or seamless integration with upstream injection molding/assembly lines, placing workpieces precisely into the fixtures.
- Station 2: Hot Stamping. The core execution unit driven by a servo motor or cylinder for the vertical movement of the stamping head. It features a foil unwinding and rewinding mechanism with tension control to achieve constant-temperature, constant-pressure, and highly precise hot stamping.
- Station 3: Cooling & Setting. Utilizes airflow cooling after stamping to prevent the shifting or wrinkling of the hot stamping layer, thereby enhancing adhesion.
- Station 4: Unloading. Features pneumatic ejection combined with a manipulator for product retrieval. Finished products automatically drop into collection bins or connect to downstream packaging lines, achieving fully automated unloading.
3. Pneumatic Execution System
- Standard pneumatic components are used for the hot stamping cylinder, loading/unloading manipulators, and ejection cylinders. Paired with solenoid valves and flow control valves, the action speed and pressure are independently adjustable.
- Equipped with an air source filter-regulator to ensure stable air supply and extend the service life of components.
4. PLC & HMI Control System Solution
- Hardware Configuration:
- PLC: Recommended Inovance H3U series, featuring built-in high-speed pulse and analog modules for servo positioning and temperature acquisition, with strong anti-interference capabilities.
- HMI: 7-inch industrial touch screen supporting Chinese/English switching, with functions for parameter storage, fault alarms, and operation monitoring.
- Drive Unit: Turntable indexing motor, hot stamping servo motor (optional), temperature PID module, solenoid valve output module, and sensor signal acquisition module.
- Control Logic Design:
- Auto Mode: The turntable rotates intermittently at a set cycle. Loading, hot stamping, and unloading stations operate synchronously. The PLC utilizes encoders and position sensors for station interlocking to prevent misoperations.
- Visual Parameter Setting: Hot stamping temperature, time, turntable speed, cylinder pressure, and action delays can be set directly via the touch screen.
- Safety & Alarms: Features an emergency stop button and station misalignment alarms. The machine automatically stops and displays fault codes in case of failure.
- Manual Debug Mode: Independent jog control for individual stations to facilitate tooling debugging and equipment maintenance.
5. Process Flow Solution
- Boot self-check → Set hot stamping temperature, pressure, and cycle parameters → Thread the hot stamping foil for debugging.
- Workpieces are fed into the loading station fixture via conveyor belt or manipulator for precise positioning.
- The turntable rotates, bringing the workpiece to the hot stamping station where the head presses down to complete constant-temperature stamping.
- The turntable continues to rotate, moving the workpiece to the cooling & setting station.
- Finally, the turntable indexes to the unloading station for automatic product discharge, and the cycle repeats.
