What Is LSX Block
The LSX block is Chevrolet Performance’s reinforced cast-iron version of the LS small-block architecture. Unlike standard aluminum LS1/LS3 blocks, the LSX uses thicker cylinder walls, a thick deck, and 6-bolt cross-bolted main caps with dowel-located caps — built to survive turbo, supercharger or nitrous combinations beyond 1000 hp. This listing is for the bare cylinder block only (no crank, pistons, heads, or accessories).
