Important Fitment Notes
- Engine Identification: This head fits the Toyota 4Y 2.2L SOHC 8V engine. It does NOT fit the 3Y (2.0L) or 5Y (2.5L) engines. Please confirm your engine code reads "4Y" before ordering.
- Fuel Type: Compatible with both gasoline and LPG (Autogas) versions of the 4Y engine.
- Gasket Matching: Always use a new head gasket (part number 11115-76001) and torque bolts to factory specifications (cold torque: 45–55 Nm + 90° turn).
Installation Tips
- Clean the block surface thoroughly and check for flatness (max warpage: 0.05 mm).
- Replace head gasket, bolts, and coolant hoses during installation.
- Torque head bolts in the correct sequence: 3 stages (cold torque → 90° turn → final check).
- Prime the oil system by cranking the engine without spark plugs for 10–15 seconds before first start.
- Check coolant level and bleed air from the system after startup.
