The Brocade Gen 8 (128G) family, released November 2025, is an enterprise‑grade SAN platform for AI, mission‑critical workloads, and quantum‑secure storage. It includes the X8-8 Director (14U, 384 ports, 62 Tb/s), X8-4 Director (9U, 192 ports, 31 Tb/s), and G820 Switch (1U, 56 ports, 7.168 Tb/s). All models feature auto‑sensing speeds from 16G to 128G, with the G820 delivering 580 ns latency (including dual FEC). UltraScale ICL provides dedicated chassis‑to‑chassis links without consuming device ports, and ISL trunking aggregates up to 8 ports for a single 1024 Gb/s link.
