Working Principle
- Contact induction: the brass probe of sensor contacts engine circulating coolant to capture real-time temperature;
- Resistance change: built-in NTC thermistor’s resistance value declines as temperature rises based on negative temperature coefficient characteristic;
- Signal transmission: ECU outputs 24V DC power supply and reads resistance change value, converting resistance data into concrete temperature value;
- Engine linkage control: ECU adjusts engine fuel injection volume and cooling fan rotating speed based on transmitted temperature data, triggers overheating reminder once abnormal high temperature appears to protect engine.
