The digital pressure relief valve is an advanced device integrating conventional pressure relief functions with intelligent monitoring technologies, primarily applied to oil-immersed power transformers, power capacitors, on-load tap-changers and other power equipment. Its core functions include rapid pressure discharge upon abnormal internal pressure buildup, real-time pressure variation monitoring, remote alarming and data logging, enabling intelligent operation and maintenance management.
 
If the internal pressure inside the tank of an oil-immersed power transformer surges sharply due to faults and fails to be released promptly, tank deformation or even rupture may occur. The pressure relief valve opens instantly once the tank pressure reaches its set opening pressure, rapidly lowering the internal tank pressure. When the pressure drops to the valve’s closing pressure threshold, the valve shuts down reliably to maintain a constant positive pressure inside the tank, effectively preventing ingress of ambient air, moisture and other contaminants.
 
Models equipped with an oil directional ejection assembly (hereinafter referred to as directional oil-spray pressure relief valves) discharge transformer oil in a fixed direction, which is then guided through an oil conduit into an oil collecting sump to avoid oil splashing, complying with fire prevention and environmental protection requirements.
