The roller shutter curtain is formed by connected aluminum slats. Optional polyurethane foam filling can improve the shutter's insulation performance while maintaining a lightweight profile.
When opened, the shutter rolls into the top box. The box can be installed on the exterior wall, integrated with the window system or configured for new-building installation.
Aluminum guide rails support smooth shutter movement and help retain the curtain along both sides of the window opening.
- Confirm window opening dimensions, wall type and installation method.
- Select slat profile, shutter box, guide rails, color and operation system.
- Cut and assemble aluminum slats, curtain, shutter box and rail components.
- Install manual drive or tubular motor with selected control accessories.
- Test curtain movement, limit positions, guide rail alignment and locking function.
- Measure the clear window opening, external wall space and shutter-box location before ordering.
- Install guide rails vertically to ensure smooth curtain movement and even seal contact.
- Keep guide rails, slats and shutter-box drainage holes free of dust and debris.
- Clean aluminum surfaces using water, mild detergent and a soft cloth.
- For motorized shutters, test remote controls, limit settings and emergency operation periodically.
