Nomay PTFE Coated Fiberglass Tape is a high-temperature, pressure-sensitive industrial tape made from woven fiberglass cloth impregnated and coated with PTFE, then coated on one side with high-temperature silicone adhesive.
The woven fiberglass backing provides tensile strength, tear resistance, puncture resistance and dimensional stability. The PTFE working surface provides low friction, non-stick release, moisture resistance and resistance to many industrial chemicals. The silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive allows direct installation on properly prepared machinery and metal surfaces.
The tape is designed for heat sealer jaws, heating plates, packaging equipment, hot presses, guide rails, chutes, rollers, composite molds and industrial surfaces where sticking, friction, heat and mechanical wear can interrupt production.

Performance & Operating Conditions
The stated continuous working-temperature range is −70°C to 260°C. Short-term exposure up to 300°C must be evaluated according to exposure time, substrate, adhesive condition, mechanical load and airflow.
PTFE must not be heated above 316°C because excessive heating can release hazardous decomposition fumes. The tape must not be exposed to open flame or uncontrolled heating.
Before installation, clean the application surface and remove oil, grease, moisture, dust, release agents and loose contamination. Apply the tape using firm and uniform pressure while avoiding wrinkles, trapped air and unnecessary overlap.
For heat-sealing jaws, rollers and hot-press plates, verify the selected thickness under the actual temperature, pressure, speed and wear conditions. Sharp edges should be rounded where possible because repeated cutting or abrasion at one point can shorten tape life.
The PTFE surface provides resistance to many chemicals, but chemical exposure can also affect the exposed tape edges, fiberglass backing and adhesive. Test the complete tape construction when acids, alkalis, solvents, oils or cleaning agents are present.
