Product Overview
Nomay Milky White PTFE Film Tape is a single-sided industrial adhesive tape manufactured from virgin skived PTFE film and high-temperature silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive. It provides a smooth, non-stick, low-friction and electrically insulating working surface for heated machinery, precision components and industrial processing equipment.
This product uses an integral pure PTFE film without woven fiberglass reinforcement. It is therefore suitable for applications requiring a smooth surface, thin profile, flexible conformability and freedom from exposed glass-fiber texture or fiber shedding.
This is an industrial adhesive tape and is not non-adhesive PTFE plumbing thread-seal tape.

Product Construction
The standard product consists of two functional layers:
• Working and backing layer: Milky white virgin skived PTFE film
• Adhesive layer: Single-sided high-temperature silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive
The standard construction is supplied as a self-wound adhesive roll. A release-liner-backed version can be selected when the tape must be converted into sheets, precision strips, pads, washers or custom die-cut components.

Backing & Adhesive System
The skived PTFE film provides a smooth and conformable backing that can follow curved surfaces, rollers and irregular components more effectively than rigid reinforced materials.
Its low surface energy provides non-stick release against many hot plastics, adhesives, inks and process materials. The PTFE working surface also provides low friction, low moisture absorption and resistance to many industrial chemicals.
The silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive provides reliable bonding across a wide operating-temperature range and allows the tape to be applied without heat activation. Actual chemical compatibility must consider both the PTFE surface and the silicone adhesive.

Performance & Operating Conditions
Apply the tape to a clean, dry and oil-free substrate. Use firm, uniform pressure to obtain complete adhesive contact and avoid air bubbles, wrinkles and lifted edges.
For roller wrapping, apply the tape under controlled tension and use a suitable overlap or butt-joint arrangement according to the roller diameter and operating direction.
Continuous exposure near the maximum temperature may shorten adhesive service life. Actual performance depends on surface material, load, pressure, temperature cycle, chemical exposure and application duration.
Although the PTFE working surface resists many chemicals, the silicone adhesive may react differently. Test the complete tape construction when acids, alkalis, oils, solvents or cleaning chemicals are present.
Do not heat or expose PTFE film to temperatures above 316°C because hazardous thermal-decomposition fumes may be generated.

A: No. This product has a silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive and is designed for industrial surface protection, insulation and non-stick applications. Plumbing thread-seal tape normally has no adhesive.

A: No. The standard backing is integral pure PTFE film without fiberglass reinforcement.
Q: Is the color pure white?
