The tube sheet is mounted horizontally inside the baghouse, separating the upper clean-air plenum from the lower dirty-air chamber. Filter bags are inserted through the holes and secured by their elastic snap-band cuffs, which seat against the smooth hole edges to form an airtight seal. Dust-laden gas enters the dirty chamber, passes through the filter bags, and exits into the clean plenum above the tube sheet. The plate physically prevents any bypass of unfiltered gas, while supporting the full weight of the bags and collected dust.
