0.1uH To 10mH Axial Lead DIP Color Ring Inductor Choke Coil For LED Power Supply
The color ring inductor is an axial lead, through-hole power inductor wound on a ferrite or iron powder rod core and finished with an epoxy or green coating. The inductance value is marked with standard colour bands on the body, in the same way as a resistor, so the part can be identified quickly during assembly, inspection and field service without reading a printed code.
The axial construction with tinned copper leads is designed for automatic insertion and wave soldering, which keeps assembly cost low in high-volume through-hole production. This series covers a wide inductance range, typically from 0.1uH up to 10mH, with several body sizes so the same part family can serve everything from RF and signal filtering at the low end to energy storage and EMI suppression at the high end.
