No.4 is a directional mechanically polished surface. The grain should remain consistent across adjoining pieces. Buyers should specify the reference sample, grit expectation and visible faces.
Cold-formed or fabricated angles are often selected for decorative applications because the dimensions and appearance can be customized. Hot-rolled angles may require more grinding to produce a uniform decorative finish.
