Zirconia (ZrO₂) ceramic structural parts are advanced precision engineering ceramics manufactured from high-purity zirconia powder with stabilizers such as yttria, through dry pressing, isostatic pressing and high-temperature sintering. Known as “ceramic steel”, zirconia ceramics stand out among structural ceramic materials for their exceptional toughness, ultra-high strength and outstanding wear resistance, widely used for precision structural components under harsh mechanical and thermal working conditions.
Different from common alumina ceramics, zirconia structural components feature unique phase transformation toughening performance. When subjected to external stress, the crystal phase transformation effectively inhibits crack expansion, greatly improving fracture toughness and impact resistance. The material delivers ultra-high flexural strength up to 900–1500 MPa, high Vickers hardness over 1200 HV, and excellent dimensional stability with extremely low thermal expansion coefficient, ensuring high precision and long service life for mechanical assembly structures.
These zirconia structural parts also possess superior comprehensive chemical and physical properties. They show excellent resistance to acid, alkali and molten metal corrosion, stable electrical insulation, and reliable high-temperature performance under continuous working conditions up to 1000°C. With low thermal conductivity and good thermal shock resistance, they can maintain stable structural performance in frequent temperature-changing and high-load working environments.
