Product Description

Product Description

SXGTU GIS Partial Discharge Withstand Voltage Test Device

The SXGTU is a high voltage test system designed to evaluate the insulation condition of Gas Insulated Switchgear through partial discharge and AC withstand tests. It is suitable for GIS manufacturers, power equipment testing centers and high voltage laboratories where controlled electrical stress and low background discharge are required.

The high voltage components are enclosed in a sealed and shielded structure to improve operational safety and reduce the influence of external interference. At rated voltage, the overall partial discharge can be controlled within 1–3 pC under normal conditions. Depending on the required test configuration, the system can generate high voltage through a test transformer or series resonance circuit.

FAQ

Q1: Why is low partial discharge important for GIS testing?
A1: Low background partial discharge helps reduce interference during insulation evaluation and supports reliable test measurements.

Q2: What is the standard partial discharge performance?
A2: The system can achieve 1–3 pC at rated voltage under normal environmental conditions.

Q3: Does the system only test GIS?
A3: GIS is the primary application, while the system can also be configured for other high voltage electrical equipment.

Q4: What series resonance options are available?
A4: Both power-frequency and variable-frequency series resonance configurations can be provided.
