Product Overview
The Taber Abrasion Tester is one of the most widely used instruments worldwide for evaluating product durability. It is suitable for materials such as plastics, paper, coatings, textiles, leather, and flooring. This instrument provides fast and accurate methods for research, development, and quality control, conforming to multiple international standards including ASTM, ISO, NEMA, TAPPI, DIN, SAE, and JIS.
The upper part of the tester consists of a specimen holder and a pair of abrasive wheels with counterweights. During testing, the motor drives the specimen holder to rotate, causing friction between the abrasive wheels and the specimen. After the preset number of cycles, the test stops automatically, and the wear level is observed to evaluate the abrasion resistance of the material.
