Product Overview
The ZX Series Micro-USB connectors meet the requirements of the USB 2.0 Standard, offering a high-speed data transfer of 480 Mbps. These connectors are extremely small, highly reliable, and comply with the physical, electrical, and environmental requirements of the Micro-USB standard. Receptacles and plugs are available in a wide variety of mounting and termination styles, allowing their use in various applications. Compared to standard Mini-USB connectors, the ZX connectors are reduced by approximately 60% in size. They feature two interface configurations (Micro-B and Micro-AB for receptacles; Micro-A and Micro-B for plugs) in standard, mid-mount, and reverse mounting styles, with SMT and through-hole PC board terminations. The connectors are designed for smooth mating and unmating operations, resulting in less wear and a longer product life due to Hirose's unique active latch mechanism. Hirose was the first company to obtain a Micro-USB certification (TID number).
