The HEC-102 portable eddy current electrical conductivity meter is designed for rapid testing of material properties including material separation, quality control, and material state verification. Utilizing electromagnetic induction principles, this instrument accurately tests non-ferromagnetic materials ranging from Titanium to Silver.
Eddy current examination is a non-destructive testing method based on electromagnetic induction, suitable for conductive materials. When a conductor is placed in an alternating magnetic field, it generates inductive currents known as eddy currents. Variations in conductor properties such as conductivity, magnetic permeability, shape, dimensions, and flaws cause corresponding changes in these currents, enabling material characterization and flaw detection.
