Thermal Bimetallic Strip Technical Application Diagram
Operating Principle

The thermal bimetallic strip consists of two or more layers of different metals firmly bonded along their entire contact surface. The metal with higher thermal expansion coefficient (active layer) expands more when heated, causing the strip to bend toward the lower expansion coefficient metal (passive layer). This mechanical displacement enables conversion of thermal energy into mechanical work for automatic control applications.
