G-Type Embedded Fin Tube with High Thermal Efficiency and Corrosion Resistance for Heat Exchangers
Embedded Fin Tube – Carbon Steel “G-Type” Finned Pipe for Heat Exchangers
Material
The product is a G-type embedded finned tube, consisting of a carbon steel base tube and mechanically embedded helical fins. The fins can be made from aluminum, copper, stainless steel, or carbon steel, depending on service temperature, corrosion conditions, and thermal conductivity requirements. The embedded structure ensures excellent fin-to-tube bonding and enhanced heat transfer efficiency.
Specification
-
Base tube OD: 16 mm – 50.8 mm (5/8″ – 2″)
-
Fin height: up to 16.5 mm
-
Fin thickness: ~ 0.4 mm (typical)
-
Fin pitch: as low as 2.1 mm (≈ 12 FPI)
-
Tube length: up to 18 m
-
Max operating temperature: up to 400 °C
Key Features
-
High thermal efficiency – The embedded fin design guarantees excellent thermal contact and low resistance.
-
Mechanical stability – The groove-locking process prevents fin loosening during thermal cycling.
-
Compact design – High surface area per unit length improves exchanger performance.
-
Durable and corrosion-resistant – Depending on the fin material, the tube can resist corrosion, oxidation, and fouling under harsh service.
Our Advantages
From an OEM and manufacturing standpoint, we address key customer concerns regarding performance, precision, and material flexibility:
-
Straightness & Tolerance Control
Our advanced fin-embedding machines ensure straightness deviation ≤ 1 mm/m and consistent OD, fin height, and pitch accuracy for seamless bundle assembly. -
Groove Precision & Wall Strength
Fin grooves are precisely machined (0.2 – 0.3 mm depth) without compromising wall thickness, ensuring the tube maintains required pressure capacity. -
Fin Material Options & Optimization
We provide multiple fin material choices tailored to different working conditions:-
Carbon Steel Fins – Economical, strong, ideal for medium-temperature, non-corrosive environments.
-
Aluminum Fins – Excellent thermal conductivity, lightweight, suitable for air coolers and low-temperature exchangers.
-
Copper Fins – Superior heat transfer and anti-microbial properties, ideal for HVAC and refrigeration.
-
Stainless Steel Fins – Excellent oxidation and corrosion resistance, suitable for high-temperature or corrosive gas applications.
-
-
Bond Integrity
The fins are mechanically locked into the groove and rolled to ensure strong thermal bonding and long-term durability under vibration or thermal cycling. -
Inspection & Quality Assurance
Each tube undergoes chemical analysis, tensile and elongation testing, dimensional and NDT inspection (UT, RT, PT/MT), and hydrostatic testing. -
Custom Engineering Support
We offer tailored fin geometry, material combinations, and surface coatings to match each client’s specific heat transfer, temperature, and corrosion requirements.
