The PSA nitrogen generator uses carbon molecular sieve as sorbent to produce nitrogen through pressure swing adsorption (PSA) technology. Under pressure, the sieve adsorbs oxygen more readily than nitrogen. A PLC controls pneumatic valves to alternate adsorption and desorption between two towers, producing nitrogen of desired purity.
The complete system includes an air compressor, refrigerant air dryer, filters, main nitrogen generator, and buffer tanks. For higher pressure requirements, an oil-free nitrogen compressor can be added. Compressed air is purified before entering the generator, with buffer tanks ensuring stable operation and consistent nitrogen output at 6barg pressure, adjustable for specific applications.
- Food preservation and beverage agitation through nitrogen filling
- Pharmaceutical industry for nitrogen protection in injection solutions and oral liquids
- Chemical and material industries including plastics, rubber, tires, and polyurethane production
- Electronics manufacturing for soldering, batteries, and electronic materials
- Advanced process flow minimizes compressed air consumption
- Premium molecular sieve ensures maximum energy efficiency
- Load adaptation technology for additional energy savings
- Reliable air cleaning process extends adsorbent life
- Patented valve system guarantees stable operation
- Buffer tanks maintain stable air supply and gas output
- Patented compaction technology prolongs sieve life
- Remote monitoring and control capability
The PSA process uses two vessels with carbon molecular sieves (CMS):
- Adsorption: Compressed air passes through one vessel where CMS adsorbs oxygen, producing nitrogen.
- Desorption: When saturated, the system switches to the second vessel while the first regenerates.
- Regeneration: Produced nitrogen purges the saturated vessel, regenerating the CMS for the next cycle.
