Preface
Methanol (CH₃OH) is a clean and efficient fuel. Like cracking ammonia, the process of methanol reforming produces no pollution. Production costs are moderate and investment is low. Methanol can be produced from renewable sources like biogas and therefore is a green fuel. Like ammonia, methanol (CH₃OH) is well suited as a hydrogen carrier. Since methanol is liquid at ambient temperature, it can be transported in tanks easily. This is a significant advantage compared to hydrogen gas.

Process Flow Diagram
The mixture of methanol and demineralized water, after being pressurized, evaporated and superheated to a specific temperature, is fed into a reactor. Here, reforming gases including H₂, CO₂, CO and others are formed under catalyst action. The mixed gas is then treated through Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) purification technology to obtain high-purity hydrogen in a single cycle.
