The PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) system separates nitrogen from air by preferential adsorption of oxygen molecules. The process involves:
1. Compressed air passes through pretreatment to remove vapor, dust, and oil
2. Air enters two PSA columns containing Carbon Molecular Sieve (CMS)
3. CMS adsorbs oxygen molecules while allowing nitrogen to pass through
4. The system alternates between columns - one adsorbs while the other regenerates
5. PLC-controlled valves manage the continuous switching process
The complete system includes air compressor, buffer tanks, air treatment system, PSA generator, and nitrogen buffer tank for consistent, high-purity nitrogen production.
