MPO Polarity Connection Methods
Polarity A Connection
Polarity A MPO cables use a key up, key down design where position 1 of one connector corresponds to position 1 of another connector. Requires A-B duplex patch cables on one end and A-A duplex patch cables on the other end.
Polarity B Connection
Polarity B MTP cables use a key up, key up design where position 1 of one connector corresponds to position 12 of another connector. Requires A-B duplex patch cables on both ends.
Polarity C Connection
Polarity C MPO cables use a key up, key down design with internal fiber cross, making position 1 of one connector correspond to position 2 of another connector. Requires A-B duplex patch cables on both ends.
Note: Polarity type is specified in the naming rules - Polarity A, Polarity B, or Polarity C.
