The MTP connector is a multi-fiber push-on connector type designed for high-density environments. This pre-connection system is primarily used in data centers, fiber-to-the-building applications, and internal connections within optical transceiver equipment supporting 40G, 100G, and QSFP+ applications.
MTP Connector Specifications
MTP connector types are classified according to EIA/TIA-604-5 regulations based on core count, gender (male/female), and polarity (PC or APC).
24F-144F MPO/MTP trunk cables are terminated with MPO/MTP connectors on both ends, connecting MPO/MTP modules as permanent links. Available with 12, 24, 48, 60, 72, 96, or 144 fibers, these cables support speeds up to 10/40/100Gbps data center solutions.
