Description:

The fibers, 250μm,are positioned in a loose tube made of a high modulus plastic. The tubes are filled with a water-resistant filling compound. A steel wire, sometimes sheathed with polyethylene (PE) for cable with high fiber count, locates in the center of core as a metallic strength member. Tubes (and fillers) are stranded around the strength member into a compact and circular cable core. An Aluminum Polyethylene Laminate (APL) is applied around the cable core, which is filled with the filling compound to protect it from water ingress. Then, the cable is completed with a PE sheath.

Description:

The KT3003 GYTA cable features 250μm fibers housed in loose tubes made from high-modulus plastic, offering strong mechanical support. The loose tubes are filled with water-resistant compounds, ensuring protection against moisture ingress. A central steel wire, optionally sheathed in polyethylene (PE) for cables with a higher fiber count, serves as the metallic strength member.

The compact and circular cable core is formed by stranding tubes and fillers around the strength member. This core is encased with an Aluminum Polyethylene Laminate (APL) moisture barrier and filled with water-blocking materials. Finally, a durable PE sheath protects the cable against ultraviolet radiation and mechanical wear.
