Description & Standards:
The KT3007 GYTS fiber optic cable is designed for outdoor applications, offering durability and protection in challenging environments. The fibers, 250μm, are housed in loose tubes made from high-modulus plastic and filled with water-resistant compounds. A steel wire, occasionally sheathed with polyethylene (PE) for higher fiber counts, acts as the central metallic strength member. Loose tubes (and fillers) are stranded around the central core to form a compact structure, reinforced with PSP (Polyethylene Steel Plastic) to prevent water ingress. The outer PE sheath ensures additional protection against ultraviolet (UV) radiation and mechanical stress. This cable adheres to YD/T 901-2001 and IEC 60794-1 standards.
