Product Overview
U/UTP CAT5E cables are designed for Class D transmission channels and are commonly used in existing installations. These cables support frequencies up to 100MHz and are available in Cat.5 and Cat.5e variants.
While Cat.5 supported Fast Ethernet at 100Mbps, it was not suitable for Gigabit Ethernet. Cat.5e features improved NeXT and FeXT values, making it ideal for 1000Base-T networks. This cost-effective standard remains popular in home and prosumer markets.
