The NIBP Pump Of The GE CARESCAPE V100 PN 2035148-001 REV A With 3 Months Warranty
The GE CARESCAPE V100 Monitor is a compact, portable vital signs monitor designed for basic physiological parameters. It is widely used in hospital wards, emergency departments, and outpatient clinics to provide clinicians with fast, accurate, and reliable patient data.
Its primary purpose is to automate the collection of essential health data, improving workflow efficiency and clinical accuracy compared to manual methods.
The V100 is built on GE's legacy technology, known for clinical accuracy in oscillometric blood pressure measurement. It offers rapid determination times , allowing for quick triage and assessment. It supports multiple modes:
- On-demand reading
- Set intervals for regular readings
- Rapid consecutive readings for critical situations
Measures pulse rate and blood oxygen saturation levels, essential for patients with respiratory conditions or those recovering from sedation.
Offers flexibility in temperature monitoring, including compatibility for non-invasive forehead temperature readings.
Functions as a "spot-check" monitor, capturing snapshots of patient's current vital signs for documentation in electronic medical records (EMR), helping track trends over time.
The GE CARESCAPE V100 uses to perform non-invasive blood pressure (NIBP) measurements. The core components , valves, hoses, and pressure transducers, all working together to inflate and deflate the blood pressure cuff automatically.
When a blood pressure determination is initiated, the nibppump activates to inflate the cuff. The system uses the measurement, where the monitor analyzes pressure oscillations in the cuff to determine systolic, diastolic, and mean arterial pressure (MAP) values.
The process is controlled by a dedicated NIBP processor on the monitor's main board:
- The pump inflates the cuff to a predetermined pressure level
- Pressure transducers (PT1 and PT2) monitor the pressure information and detect oscillations
- A valve in the pneumatic manifold releases air from the cuff in a controlled manner
- The main board calculates systolic, diastolic, MAP, and pulse rate from the oscillation data
The V100 is available with three DINAMAP NIBP technology options: each calibrated using different reference methods.
