Product Overview
This automatic gate lock is engineered to deliver additional security and stability to your swing gate opener system. The versatile design accommodates various mounting methods across different gate types.
Note: Mounting hardware is not included with this kit. Users should prepare U-bolts, common bolts, nuts, and washers suitable for their specific gate configuration.
For optimal performance, some gate closure adjustments may be necessary to ensure the lock body closes firmly on the pin in the lock receiver. Please consult your swing gate opener manual for closed position specifications.
Installation Guide
Step 1: Close the Swing Gate
Unlock the swing gate opener using the release key to enter manual mode. Manually swing the gate to the closed position. For dual gate systems, ensure both swings form a straight line after closing to facilitate proper lock and receiver positioning.
Step 2: Confirm Installation Position
Dual Gate Systems: Mount the lock body and lock receiver on a gate cross member or solid surface of adjacent gate edges, level with the gate opener.
- Inward opening systems: Set the gate with lock body to "open first then close" mode (delayed closing)
- Outward opening systems: Set the gate with lock receiver to "open first then close" mode (delayed closing)
Single Gate Systems:
- Inward opening: Mount lock body on gate edge and lock receiver on adjacent gate post
- Outward opening: Mount lock receiver on gate edge and lock body on adjacent gate post
Ensure lock body and receiver are perfectly aligned and level in all configurations.
Step 3: Adjust Installation Position
Use provided cable ties to temporarily position the lock body on a level mounting surface. Temporarily secure the lock receiver on the opposite gate (dual systems) or gate post (single systems) using cable ties. Slide the lock body left and right until it aligns with the lock receiver, ensuring the lock pin holes line up with the slot in the lock body. Mark the gate or post through the center of the two receiver holes.
Step 4: Mount Lock Body
Drill holes through the marked positions and attach the lock body using appropriate hardware. Do not use bolts larger than 5/16 inch diameter as they will not fit through the slots.
Step 5: Mount Lock Receiver
Drill through the marked positions and attach the lock receiver using prepared mounting bolts, washers, and nuts (pan head screws recommended).
Step 6: Insert Lock Pin
Insert the lock pin through the holes in the lock receiver and secure with a padlock on the bottom hole.
Step 7: Electrical Wiring
Complete the electrical wiring by following the instructions in your swing gate opener manual.
Important Note: Mounting hardware for both lock body and lock receiver is not included in the kit. The size and type of fasteners required will vary depending on your specific gate configuration.
