A tripod turnstile gate, also referred to as a baffle gate, is designed to regulate pedestrian flow by allowing only one person to pass at a time. This access control solution can enforce one-way traffic patterns and restrict passage to authorized individuals using coins, tickets, passes, or similar credentials. Turnstiles serve both paid access applications (such as public transport ticket barriers) and secure access control for authorized personnel in facilities like office buildings.
