Product Description
Single Channel 10ms 5A 170kHz Car Conductive Loop Detector
Parking boom barrier accessory car vehicle detector with conductive loop for monitoring and safeguarding access ways or counting vehicles.
Product Application
The PD132 loop detector is designed for vehicle detection applications. Output signals can control door and gate drive mechanisms, operate barriers, manage traffic light systems, or activate card dispensers in parking lots. Utilizing advanced microprocessor technology, it performs reliably in diverse environments with two-way output relays: one for unlimited output during permanent loop coverage and another with multiple user-configurable modes.

Functions and Features
  • Reset Switch: Enables manual reset during commissioning and testing, allowing the detector to re-tune the sensing loop for vehicle detection readiness.
  • Selectable Pulse Time: Configures pulse relay duration to 1 second or 0.5 seconds.
  • Pulse Relay Selection: Configurable to energize on vehicle detection or departure from the loop.
  • Sensitivity Boost: Sets undetect level to maximum sensitivity to prevent loss of high-bed vehicle detection.
  • Switch Selectable Sensibility: Four sensitivity settings provide configuration flexibility.
  • Switch Selectable Frequency: Four frequency settings prevent cross-talk between adjacent loops.
  • Filter Option: Provides detection delay to prevent false detection of small or fast-moving objects.
  • Permanent Presence Option: Maintains vehicle detection during extended periods of parking over the loop.

Operation and Indication
During tuning, both green Channel LED and red Power LED illuminate for approximately 2 seconds, after which the green LED turns off. A flashing Channel LED indicates a loop fault, though the detector continues operation if the fault self-heals. The green channel LED glows during vehicle detection over the inductive loop, while the red Power LED remains on to indicate unit power status.
Frequency Adjustment
Frequency can be altered to eliminate interference between neighboring wire loops or loop detectors.
Sensitivity Settings
Four sensitivity selections allow selective detection of inductance changes necessary for output, configured via DIP3 and DIP4 switches.
Automatic Sensitivity Boost
Activated by DIP5 switch: OFF - Disabled, ON - Enabled. Boosts sensitivity to maximum during vehicle detection and maintains this level while the vehicle is present over the loop.
Filter Mode
Activated by setting DIP6 Switch to "ON" to eliminate environmental interference, delaying reaction time and reducing sensitivity. Normally disabled with DIP6 Switch set to "OFF".
Output Relay Configuration
DIP7 OFF: Relay1 and Relay2 energize during vehicle detection and de-energize upon departure. DIP7 ON: Relay2 energizes during detection and de-energizes upon departure, with Relay1 energizing for 500ms after a 500ms delay.
Presence Time Settings
DIP8 Switch configures presence mode: OFF - Limited Presence (10 minutes), ON - Permanent Presence with continuous environmental compensation.
Reset Function
The detector automatically tunes to the inductive loop when power is applied. Manual retuning after switch changes or relocation is initiated by momentary operation of the RESET switch.
Attention: If the detector isn't working normally, first check the loop and wiring, then adjust frequency or sensitivity settings. Finally, try activating filter mode if issues persist.
