Installation Guide
The PK400AC swing gate opener is designed for single leaf gates weighing less than 400kg, with a single leaf swing gate length of less than 2.5m. The drive mechanism utilizes worm and worm gear combined with pinion transmission. For optimal protection, this gate opener must be installed inside the enclosure or yard.
Installation Drawing for Main Engine
The two engines are installed at both sides of the gate. Figure 6 illustrates the installation relationship between the housing, main engine, and mounting plate. The left-hand main engine serves as the installation example, with the same method applicable to the right-hand unit.
Preparation Work Before Installation
- Before installing the door opener, verify proper gate installation to ensure smooth manual operation
- Remove plastic covers from the main engine and mounting base plate before installation, keeping all fasteners secure
- For electric lock installation: maintain 40-50mm distance between door bottom and ground
- Without electric lock: maintain ≥20mm distance between door bottom and ground
Cable Requirements
Prepare appropriate fasteners for mounting plate and wall connections based on installation environment. Required cables include:
- Main engine power cable: minimum 4 cores per engine, core sectional area ≥1.5mm²
- Main engine limit switch cable: minimum 3 cores per engine, core sectional area ≥0.75mm²
- Control box power cable: minimum 3 cores, core sectional area ≥1.5mm²
- Cable length determined by user based on installation site requirements
Note: Pipe outlet should face downward to prevent rainwater from entering along the cable.
Mounting Brackets Fixation
For secure PK400AC main engine installation, we recommend using expansion screws to fix the mounting brackets.
