Mineral Insulated Heating Cable

1. Introduction

Sheath electrically heated cable is also called armoured cable accompanied with heat. It is a solid substance with is composed of heating alloy wire, inorganic mineral ungrounded and outer sheath metal sleeve. It is being stretch formed with high density. It is widely applicable for the pre-heating, temperature preservation in the occasions such as pipe lines, moulds, containers etc.

2. Application

Mineral insulated heating cables are constructed and approved for use in nonhazardous and hazardous locations. The maximum application temperature for the heating cable is up to 1022°F (550°C) and the maximum exposure temperature for the heating cable is up to 1200°F (650°C). Higher temperature are available by special order.
