Description and Applications:
Stainless Steel Waterproof Cable Gland (also known as waterproof cable joint, cable fixed head or cable joint connector) is widely used in the fixation and protection of wires and cables in mechanical equipment electrical, ship electrical, and anti-corrosion equipment, its main function is cable fastening and sealing.
Sealing refers to what is often called IP protection, that is, dustproof and waterproof. As for the protection level of cable gland, it depends on the structure of the cable glands of each manufacturer, and can reach up to IP68.
There are also some cable glands used in special places, such as waterproof cable gland joint with shielding function, suitable for cables with shielding layers; armored waterproof cable gland suitable for armored cables; explosion-proof cable gland suitable for dangerous areas, etc.
