he AB 1747-M2 is an SLC 500 EEPROM module for fixed and modular controllers. It is compatible with the SLC 5/01 and SLC 5/02 processors, it has a 32 KB, 4K instructions, and 64K words of user memory available. It has a backplane current of 1 A at 5V DC and 175 mA at 24V DC. This module also has a program scan time of 0.9 ms and an I/O scan time of 0.225 ms. Ethernet and RS-232 ports, as well as a Flash backup memory, are available with the 1747-M2 module.
When installing or removing this module, make sure that the power to the controller has already been turned off to prevent damaging the module or experiencing undesired processor faults. It is important that you hold it by the end of the carrier or the edges of the plastic housing because dirt and the skin's oil is corrosive and may affect the metallic parts of the module. Also avoid subjecting the 1747-M2 module to areas with possible electrostatic charge, as this charge can alter or even destroy the memory.
