The intelligent 10/100M adaptive fast Ethernet media converter, with its unique feature of notifying of link failure between electrical and optical ports, has the capability to replace a network managed media converter, resulting in a significant reduction in system costs.
The LNK-S1100N series Ethernet media converter is able to convert between 10Base-T and 100Base-TX twisted pair electrical signals and 100Base-FX optical signals. It extends the network transmission distance from 100m via copper cables to 120km via fiber optic cable.
This converter allows for data transmission in both electrical and optical networks using either the data link L2 store-and-forward technology or the PHY L1 cut-through technology. It also supports transmission in single mode single fiber.
