The function of slotted nuts is to fix the front and rear wheel axles of the vehicle by tightening the screws that pass through the front and rear wheel axles, so that the frame and tires are fixed together. To prevent the nut from loosening, a cotter pin must be used to fix it through the groove of the slotted nut. To fix the slotted nut, the cotter pin must pass through the middle of the wheel axle screw. Usually, both ends of the wheel axle screw need to be drilled, The diameter of the hole and the width and depth of the groove of the slotted nut determine the size of the cotter pin to be used. When the selected axle screw, cotter pin, and slotted nut are matched, the nut is fixed to the front wheel and frame through the axle screw, and the cotter pin is fixed to the slotted nut through the hole fastener of the axle screw, preventing the slotted nut from loosening and preventing the vehicle from loosening during movement.
