Professional fiber optic mode conditioning jumping cable designed for 1000BASE-LX/LH Gigabit Ethernet applications in multimode cable plants.
Product Overview
New Light manufactures standard and customized length 50/125, 62.5/125 and OEM equivalent mode conditioning fiber optic patch cords for 1000BASE-LX/LH Gigabit Ethernet (1300nm long wavelength) applications installed into existing multimode cable plants.
Installation Instructions
For gigabit LX switches equipped with SC or LC connectors:
- Connect the yellow leg (Singlemode) to the transmit side
- Connect the orange leg (multimode) to the receive side
- Maintain this configuration on both ends
- Transmit and receive swapping can only be done at the cable plant side
How Mode Conditioning Works
Mode conditioning patch cords eliminate multiple signals by allowing the single-mode launch to be offset away from the center of a multimode fiber, creating a launch similar to typical multimode LED launches.
